PPCmetrics’ systematic and clearly structured selection process ensures an objective selection of highly qualified and leading asset managers or rather partners for safe custody of securities and documents the exercising of the execution functions.

We accompany between 75 and 125 requests for proposals with different portfolio sizes per year, and we have many years of experience and competences in the area of requests for proposals after the invitation procedure as well as public requests for proposals in accordance with the WTO agreement.
 
We are independent, and our advice serves the clients’ interests. We work on a fee basis only, and we do not accept any provisions, retrocessions or commissions from third parties. We do not manage any portfolio, and we do not keep accounts of securities.
 
Our methodology and instruments have proven their value during several public requests for proposals, which we carried out on behalf of our clients, in accordance with both Swiss and European law.
 
 
Request for proposals

Every selection that we carry out is strictly designed for taking into consideration a high number of candidates for each mandate and ensuring a fair competition and equal treatment. Asset managers can participate free of charge.

 

Evaluation and recommendation

We evaluate the proposals and give a recommendation regarding the mandate award or rather invitation for a presentation (“beauty contest”) or a visit on site. The evaluation contains the following points: company, product, persons involved, process, performance and price. Both quantitative and qualitative requirements are taken into consideration.

The evaluations are carried out by our experienced and acknowledged specialists. We can benefit from our know-how about investment approaches and systems that we have acquired during more than 20 years of working as Investment Controllers for Swiss pension funds.
 
 
Contract negotiations

We regularly conduct negotiations in accordance with various legal systems including Common Law.

We can also support your contract negotiations. We can either check your contracts or our legal consultant and advocate conducts the negotiations on behalf of your company.
 
If desired, we deal with all the correspondence with the asset managers and the custodians, and we support the mandate structuring and monitor the fees.
